About Me

Bernadette graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to practice in December 2015 having completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law.  Bernadette joined Pearsons in February 2017.

Prior to returning to full time study, Bernadette completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Education at Victoria University. Having taught predominantly in adult education for over 12 years, Bernadette has the ability to communicate and connect with people from many different cultural and religious backgrounds.  The transition from teaching to practicing law has allowed her to develop empathy towards clients and understand the issues associated with their ability to grasp and understand the legal concepts involved in their individual matters.

After graduating from La Trobe University Bernadette commenced working as a junior associate having been exposed to different areas of law including; Property Law, Family Law, Wills and Estates, Criminal Law, Personal Injury Law and Victims of Crime.  Her current position at Pearsons has allowed her to focus on Family Law and pursue her interest in assisting clients faced with the challenges associated with separation and divorce.  With a passion for communication and helping people, Bernadette is excited about her future at Pearsons where her learning and development is supported by an experienced and motivated legal team.

In her free time Bernadette enjoys spending time with family, supporting her children’s sporting and academic endeavours and socialising with friends.
